Related to the anniversary of the local water supply company, PDAM, the Mayor of Denpasar Ida Bagus Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra inaugurated an automatic drinking water facility available for public use on Segara Ayu Beach, Sanur. The facility was prvided to implement the Mayor’s commitment in providing hygienic fresh water and drinking water. “This is one of services provided by the government of Denpasar city, in this respect PDAM, in providing basic needs”, he said.
Mayor Mantra expressed his appreciation in PDAM’s effort to make drinking water in certain area, desipte of constrains the company is currently having. “I expect these steps to continue by prioritizing public areas and tourist centers”, he said.

PDAM’s Director Putu Gede Mahaputra exposed that the drinking water made available through automatic dispensing facility in Sanur passes seven layers of purification method including ultra filtration and ultraviolet sterilization method. Therefore he guarantees that the water satisfies hygienic standards. By using an Rp. 500 coin, people can get ready-to-drink water, no boiling needed. “Visitors to Segara Ayu Beach, Sanur, can immediately enjoy the facility”, he said.

Made Sebudi, a visiting tourist to Segara Ayu Beach, appreciated the facility as a strategic effort to improve tourism image, especially as the facility is provided along with other related facilities such as jogging track. Therefore he expected PDAM to provide similar facility in other areas as well.
