Indonesia is currently waiting for official revocation of flight ban applied by European Union on four indonesian alirliners. “We are still awaiting for official decision, which hopefuly to come within the next two weeks. Logically there will be no changes as the recommendation for this was made after assesment by techcical team from 27 members of EU”, Director General of Air Transportation, Herry Bakti S. Gumay told the press on Sunday, July 5th.
EU is expected to officially revokes flight ban against four Indonesian airliners to fly above the continent since July 2007. Herry who went to Brussel to make an exposision in front of EU assembly confirmed that recommendation to revoke the ban has been issued.

In a different event, the spokesman of Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affair, Teuku Faizasyah, has also confirmed the same information. Teuku said that the EU’s commision for airline safety has issued recommendation to revoke the flight ban against four Indonesian domestic airliners. “The Ministry of Foreign Affair has received a copy of te recommendation to revoke the flight ban against four Indonesian airliners to fly to Europe”, he said.

Faizasyah said that the official revocation is expected to decided within the next two weeks. The estimated time window was based on internal administrative process within the organization.
