Moslem and Hindu have been live peacefully for hundred years in Karangasem where they have to maintain that kind of relationship for unlimited period of time. Breaking the fasting that is held at Puri Gede, Amlapura stand as one media to retain the relationship between the two religions in which it had been maintained since a long time ago as been said by Manggala Puri Gede Amlapura, AAb Ngurah Agunf, S.H on Monday.

He said that the castle in Dah since the ancient time stand as the people union. “We have to continue and maintain our tolerance that had been accomplished by our ancestor for such a long time.”

The regency head of Karangasem, I Wayan Gredeg also said the same thing. He thinks that without the friendship and mutual cooperation, everything will be difficult to realize. He said that in this recent time the development that is happened outside Bali, with so many conflicts because of different opinion and tribe. It will better if we do not pay attention with our difference but tend to the friendship as humankind. Like what had been said by manggala Puri Gede, “that there is family relationship Moslem people have with others around Karangasem.”

Vice chief of MUI Karangasem Mursyid, S.Ag. also affirmed his agreement with that statement in his Ramadhan speech. He thinks that the Moslem people in every village in Amlapura commonly have pauman land. And that land was given by the King of Karangasem, and when the king held a ceremony, then the Moslem people ngayah-offering labor assistance- to the palace while bring some of their crop which is needed in that ceremony. In Moslem, he continued, their people are commanded to have a friendship with everybody and respect everyone.

Whereas, the chief of PUSunda Bali, Jaka, said that since paguyuban-large scale meeting- in Karangasem where the member had been inaugurate, his party give everything to handle about their people to the Karangasem government and people. Their people who lived in Bali are varied in profession. They are expected to cooperate in build the development of the place where they lived.

That meeting not only attended by many of Moslem figures in Karangasem, but also orphan children from orphanage, the chief of Paguyuban of Urang Sunda (PUSunda) Bali Jaka, Karangasem Head of Regency, I Wayan Gredeg, Chief of Regency Police Department, AKBP Amur Chandra J.B., Dandim 1623 Akhsan Wijaya, members of Regency Council of Karangasem, also the head chief of Desa Pakraman Bali-Bali village Association- Mangku Wayan Suwena and the chief of middle council of Karangasem village association, Drs. Nyoman Putra Adnyana. The chief of PUSunda, Jaka and others contributor also gave gifts for the orphanage.
