Desa Pakraman Obtain Forest
Desa pakraman –village based on small organization in one area spread in every districts in Bali where the people of the village as its member.
Negara, in order to suppress illegal logging that continuously happened, sooner all of pakraman villages that have access to the forest surround them will get permission to manage it. This management by the village member will be called as village forest.
Thus as been expressed on Wednesday (16/09) by IGN Sandjaja, the head of farming, forestry and oceanic department of Jembrana. According to him, the village forest policy, the village people is expected to participate together in protecting, maintaining and possessing the forest thus the minimize clearing away forest action and firewood seeker activity.
In fact, says Sandjaja, this kind of forest management construction had been proposed since a long time by Jembrana government in order to support the same plan recommend by Tabanan and Karangasem regency.
“In its management of that forest village, the technical management will be arranged by desa pakraman include within it was deciding how far the width of the land for one person to handle,” he added.
In case of forest village benefit, Sandjaja said that the trees which are belonging to the protected forest can not be chopped down but it is sufficient to gain the benefit from the tree.
“Thus product from the tree can be in the form of fruits or else. The village’s manager has a responsibility arranged the plantation, preservation, and its production,” he says.
Sandjaja also ascertain that policy will be done with using five pakraman villages in each district as an experiment.
