Long Holiday Bring Domestics Tourist into Bali

Entering the long holiday of Lebaran, domestic tourists make their line up to Bali. This condition can be seen through several private vehicles that is entering Ketapang port, Banyuwangi, last Friday (18/9). Domestic tourist leap up is predicted will reach its point today.

The fluctuation of domestict tourist began from Wednesday night (17/09) until yesterday in the evening. They were dominated by passenger vehicle from Jakarta, Surabaya, and several towns in Java. This leap up of domestic tourists is an every year phenomenon. “Now is a long holiday, so we just take advantage of it and take some holiday in Bali,” said Mustail a driver from East Java.

Bali Post reported that on yesterday, the flow of passengers who crosses to Bali was dominated by luxurious vehicle. Some of them seem to bring some stuff that is piled up. They entered the port since early dawn until nightfall. Vehicles leap up is much bigger than regular day for about 16 percents improvement. On yesterday, the fluctuation is estimated not more than 10 percents. The arrival of those domestic tourists is due to the long holiday of Lebaran this year.

On yesterday there was approximately more than 2000 private vehicle that crossed to Bali. They entered the port sporadically. When they had already entered the port, all of these vehicles were not waiting too long at parking area. They only need 15-20 minutes entered the ship. That can be achieved owing to the loading and unloading schedule made faster than usual. “We worked faster in order to handle the line up happened at Gilimanuk,” said by Operational Manager of PT ASDP Ketapang, Saharudin Kotto. Apart from made loading and unloading activity faster, the amount of total sailing also been added. In a day the sailing will approach 198 times. This much amount was assisted by 26 ship fleets that was launched all out.

Data from the passenger’s station in Ketapang, entering two days before Lebaran the amount of walker passengers who cross to Bali continued to rise. The walker passengers attained 10.324 people, motorcycle for about 419 vehicles and car for about 2410 vehicles. Whereas people who came from Gilimanuk, walker passenger reached 42.889 people, motorcycle for about 11.861 vehicles and car reached 4587 vehicles.
