Former Head of Buleleng Education Office, Drs. Made Sudarsana is charge for 18 months in prison sentence for corruption trial of 2008/2009 school year of new student revenue fund, on Wednesday (30/9). Sudarsana with his lawyer can not accept that where they remand for plea in the next week trial.

Besides charged 18 months in jail, public prosecutor also charge him for fifty million Rupiah for subsidize him from two months confinement. In a letter read by the Public Prosecutor, Sudarsana is proven legally and convincingly guilty committing corruption crime according to the Article Number 11 UU No. 31/1999 about corruption eradication which is changed into Law Number 20/2001, Article 64 paragraph one of the criminal code. As a civil employee Sudarsana is judged to receive gift of his right and was part of continuous behavior.

After hear the sentence from Public Prosecutor, Sudarsana with his lawyer Ngurah Arya Asmara agreed to remand plea. After the trial, Arya Asmara said that his client his totally was not guilty in this corruption case. That’s why his client has to be freed from avery charge. “That fund he collected wasn’t government fund, and the country is not losing out at all,” he said.

As been reported, Sudarsana become the suspect one after allocate a letter to collect fund for 2008/2009 school year. Each of Junior High students had to pay five thousands Rupiah and for new High School student was six thousands Rupiah. That fund collection is considered as rough collection by the public prosecutor.
