Cabinet immediately get to Work

Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II –United Indonesian Cabinet II- starting to work on Thursday (October 22nd) after the inauguration in State’s House. The elected president of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono wishes for his arrangement cabinet work effectively so the whole programs achieved good result.

According to President Yudhoyono, the second period of his government’s cabinet arrangement is finished on time according to the original schedule.

Bill Number 39 years 2008 about State Minister Affair give fourteenth days after the inauguration of elected President and Vice President to announce their new cabinet.

Last week, President explaned that he planned to announce his new cabinet after the day of his inauguration that is on October 21st, to be inaugurate on October 22nd. So that the first plenary meeting held on October 23rd in the morning before the President goes to Hua Hin, Thailand to attend Asean State’s Head Meeting.

In his press conference, President said that he wasn’t intended to announce the cabinet arrangement only but also explained why that arrangement was like that. He also promised explanation of why someone is chosen to handle this department or certain ministry.

Though, in his cabinet announcement, on yesterday night, the president couldn’t explain those things.

Besides announce the newest 34 ministers in his Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu II, he also announce three people that will support the cabinet, they are Kuntoro Mangkusubroto as the Head of President’s Work for Development Intelligence and Controller Unit, General Sutanto as the Head of State’s Intelligent Department and as the head of Investment Coordination Department, Gita Wirjawan.

In a short time, President will also decide the new members of President Advisement Council work for 2009-2004 period and some of department or ministry vice minister that valued to have big task burden.
