It seems that Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika applied twisted strategy to deflect accusation toward government’ idea to buy GWK in Ungasan. “It was wrong if Bali provincial government is rumored bought unfinished GWK. You are wrong. Nothing had been done and all of you had quarrel. Don’t make any assumption,” he said after DPRD Bali plenary meeting related with RAPBD Bali 2010 – Draft of Regional expenditure Budget 2010 – on Thursday (November 12th).

Previously regional secretary of Bali, Nyoman Yasa had acknowledged the idea of making GWK as Bali Convention Center. Furthermore, Bali Governor, Mangku Pastika after commemorate Heroes Day affirmed that there was indeed a plan to bought GWK.

But, after received such glares from every component, he denied that suggestion. Moreover, toward a desire to build mall on the formerly central Badung governmental office’ land; return the question with asking who does gave such an idea. “I clarified here that on the land of formerly as the central of Badung governmental office is not given to any investor in order to build mall on it,” he said.

He asserted that before decided to bought GWK or utilized neglected asset there will be a team for that matters. That team will consist of all components of people in Bali, from executive, legislative, LSM – Social Institution – and more to examinee the compatibility of stuff we want to buy since what we used will be public money. That team also who will decided the utilization of Bali Provincial neglected asset. “Team who examinee profitable and its loss since what we used to buy in the end will be public money,” he said.

About GWK he confessed that the recent manager gave it to Malaysian investor. “If the situation allowed us as Balinese to buy it, then why not moreover there is Wisnu sculpture in it,” he said. Then for the utilization of it is in the hand of the government and Balinese people. “We make something useful for people in Bali and didn’t violate the environment,” he said.

How can an investment can give big result and bring no suffer for the people. In order to do that the efficiency had been done for about 200 billion rupiah from RAPBD Bali 2010.

Response toward minimum budget for agricultural and forestry sector in 2010, he said that what had been proposed to the council in still a draft, it’s not final yet. In agricultural budget, that 10 billion Rupiah has not yet included in government expense like deconcentration budget. In agricultural budget there will be integrated agriculture program starting from 2010 for about 8 billion Rupiah. Moreover there also other food security budget. “That’s why SKPD budget looks like it was in small number since there was budget efficiency, but there is more for the people,” he said. Integrated agriculture budget is allocated to 40 places around Bali where each of them receive 200 million Rupiah. Not to mention about fertilizer subsidy and seed from central government and province. So the efficiency of that budget is not merely for investment only but also for many people interest.
