The meeting with Kapolda Bali – head of Bali Provincial Police – Irjen Pol Sutisna with Bali Villa Association (BAV) on Wednesday, November 25th at mapolda Bali – Bali Police Station – meeting room conveyed the raising of unregistered villas phenomenon in Badung. It is recorded that there are 750 villas in Badung, 500 of them already have registration.

In that meeting also lot of them complain about the traffic dangerous condition, crime against foreigner and the spreading of unregistered villas in Badung.

According to Ismoyo as the head of BVA, villas condition in Badung is worrying. This far there are 750 villas unit spread and 500 of them had registered. In fact there are 250 villas not registered yet.

Hundred of those villas also not supported with security standardization, among them still lack of human and tools accommodations.

”In several Villa there is no security guard. Whereas security guard is extremely needed to guarantee the safety around villa,” said Ismoyo.

That’s why, BVA component asked for not merely hotel which given such safety standardization but also the same with villa and restaurant. Besides, they also wish for the police to focus their security toward villa.

The reason is considering most of villa’s owner is foreigner who used local people merit to do their business in Bali.

It makes even the foreigner need security. Since nowadays lot of foreigners frequently accepted less ethical attitude from criminal.

“I saw, there was a tourist sat in a restaurant and her bag straightly mugged. But the restaurant owner didn’t want to responsible,” said Dewi Mas Bloem as the assistant manager of villa The Heaven

About traffic accident problem in tourism area also been talked in that meeting. That precarious according to them is not free from foreigners’ brutality in Kuta. Sometime they willingly drunk and rowdily riding their motorcycles.

“Those who create problem precisely are the foreigners. They didn’t used helmet, didn’t wore their clothes and hardly smell with alcohol. That rowdy way in riding motorcycle makes there are lot of traffic accident as far as someone died in that accident,” said Radu Frentiu the general manager of Bali Mandira.

The location of police office in Petitenget also commented by this tourism agents. They said that Kuta sector Police Office never react against cases happened around Seminyak under the reason of faraway territory.

They ask for Kapolda placing his intelkam – Security Intelligence – and serse – detective – members in that Police post so they will act immediately if there is any report from the people.

Responding their complaints, Kapolda Sutisna said that his party will respond some information delivered in that meeting. Means that to increase safety, we need strong cooperation made between the police and tourism agents.

He admitted that crime always develop with different modes of operation.

”What kind anticipation we’ll done is something that’s we will do together with them. The problem with security has a relationship with investment. If lot of tourist comes but if the place is not safe anymore they wouldn’t come anymore,” he said.

Not merely about safety said Kapolda, villa also need security guard to guarantee the safety.

But, all this time Kapolda complained that lot of villas which have no security guard, he said, that those villas will become the target of criminality.

Kapolda also remind to several villas’ party, if invested in Bali, the main problem to be concerned about is safety.

”We remind them, if you had such a large number of investment, the problem of security need to be increased, if there is no safety then you just wasting everything for nothing,” he affirmed.

Kapolda commented the lack of security problem in several restaurants. He thinks that safety should have become their major concern. As long as safety has been done well then it will much easier to handle criminality happened.

“We create our safety together. This problem is belonging to ours,” he said.
