“Hot Spot” IT Citizen in Pasraman Besakih Amlapura

Besakih today’s not merely as spiritual climbing area. In this area, precisely in Pasraman Besakih, there has been hot spot service. With this, the communities can access free internet. Besides, Besakih also has been networked with other areas around the world.

Hot spot utilization at Pasraman Besakih had been officially launched by Bali governor, Made Mangku Pastika on Sunday, December 6th. It is marked by signing the inscription situated in Pasraman Besakih. There is also laptop delivery. This laptop handed over from the GM Kandatel Bali Gede Negara to the governor henceforth submitted to the students of Pasraman Besakih.

When handing over the laptop, the governor gave a message to the student to use this facility handily. With utilizing this communication information system, hoped for the young generation in Besakih could become Bali’s human who can mastering all field of knowledge without forgetting their Balinese cultural root.

Besides the official launching of Krama IT Hot Spot, Governor and Mrs. Ayu Pastika also held tree planting at Pasraman Besakih. Tree planting also conducted by the vice head of DPRD Bali, I.B. Sukarta, Regional Secretary of Bali Province, Nyoman Yasa and GM Kandatel Bali, I Gede Negara.

In that occasion also Governor Mangku Pastika was planted tree. If the vice head of DPRD Bali planted bodhi tree – ficus religiosa -, Mrs. Mangku Pastika planted basil tree, GM Kandatel planted Wijaya Kusuma tree and Sekda Bali planted Avalokite Swara (Dewi Kwan Him).

In that occasion, around one thousand of Balinese people which came from student groups, Head of Bali provincial SKPD, KMB employees and Besakih people together planted thousand of trees such as frangipani, mahogany, ylang-ylang, crocodile wood and suar tree at Agung Besakih temple area around Pasraman Besakih.

Furthermore, they were praying together in Agung Besakih Temple continued with frangipani planting in front of Besukian temple. After that, Bali Governor also handed scholarship for 40 high school/vocational high school students. The governor was also delivered 30 scholarships for junior high school students around Besakih.

According to the head of Education, Youth and Sport Department Bali provincial I, Wayan Suasta, S.H., the scholarships that is delivered symbolically at Besakih temple is dedicated for 70 studenst under Pasraman Besakih. The details mentioned that 40 of them came from high school/vocational school students and 30 of them are junior high school students. Each of them received Rp 1.2 million/year. The fund for 40 high school/vocational students in Bali came from APBD Bali – Bali’s Regional Income and Expense Consideration – Whereas for the rest 30 students, the fund came from the contribution of Media Bali Post,” said Suasta.
