Single Investor for STB

December 24th, 2009

Serangan bridge project at Tanjung Benoa (STB) wouldn’t managed by two countries as been planned before that is Korea and China. Bappenas decision is to give STB bridge development in order to solve South Badung’ traffic jams at the hand of single Korean investor only. The contractor who specialized in giant project named Sun Bo.

According to the plan that project wouldn’t run with any escort fund means this purely loan fund project from foreign country and will physically begin from 2011. This admitted by the head of Commission III DPRD Bali Putu Agus Suradnyana after a coordination meeting with Bali Public Labour, Forestry Department, and several relate institutions on Thursday, December 23rd.

Agus Suradnyana said the bridge that was valued Rp 1. 257. 784.000.000 will be under single investor from Korea is part of the two countries agreement achieved last week. “It had been decided that the project will begin in 2011. Constant loan fund process with G to G (Government to Government) or it can be called as bilateral loan. The project has been carrying out by organizing team from Korea. The contractor was Sun Bo,” affirmed by Agus Suradnyana.

He pointed that today’s process was feasibility study by the Bappenas. Korean contractor indeed have not count either his profit or non profit yet in doing this project but still that act was needed. In the other hand, the most important thing take place that was about the bridge’ cost value had been finished. Agus also said, for the next six month bridge development project will enter design engineering. Considering the land, said Agus Suradnyana, provincial and central government still has problem with the body of the road at Serangan area. But all still under discussion with BTID (Bali Turtle Island Development) who manage Serangan area. We had invite BTID yesterday but they didn’t come. “There should be law conviction toward this land. Since there is a plan modification where the body of the road that was formerly will pass the west side of Serangan Island will move more into the middle of the island that is to the east. We had sent letter for BTID, but it exactly had wrong address on it. That’s make BTID couldn’t come since they didn’t get the letter. We will send them again,” said Agus Suradnyana firmly.

Meanwhile for land release at Tanjung Benoa is not too difficult to solve because it only need an authorization from the Minister of Forestry. Since the body of the road precisely the boundary pole will pass mangrove forest. In addition to this, the mangrove wouldn’t get damage jut by passing it. In yesterday meeting, Bali Public Labour was represented by the chief of Road Division, Ida Bagus Sidarta, whereas Forestry Department was straightly attended by the head of department, Anak Agung Buana. Public Labour Department itself together with Bali Public Labour Division will become the local leader of that giant project development. “This project will used boundary pole at Mangrove area in Tanjung Benoa and used 4.5 HA under the authorization of Forestry Division,” said Agus.

The Data gathered by NusaBali, the body of the road at Tanjung Benoa Badung according to the plan, the bridge will be build take start from Tanjung, west part of BTDC, passing that mangrove for about 2 kilometer and go along the edge for 2.3 kilometer (5.40 hectare). While for the body of the road will be build at flow of Benoa Strait – Badung Strait with 350 meter in length, with 2 X 140 main landscapes in the midst of 35 meter beneath railroad tie and 45.919 meter HWL railroad tie on top.
