Industrial and Trading Office reported the realization of silver jewelry trading made by Balinese artisans into export marketing, between January and October 2009 had produced $19.9 million for U.S. Dollar exchange by selling 10 million pieces. Meanwhile, followed the increasing of silver products within the domestic marketing, this Bali’s silver product also experienced export increase up to 5 percent. based on the data from Bali’ Silver Association, shown export growth rate of Bali’ silver until September this year grew to 5 percent. With its main export marketing is in America and Europe.

Vice chairman of Bali’ Silver Association, I Nyoman Mudita when met in Denpasar revealed that the economic crisis happened in America and Europe did not affect Bali’ silver trading. Especially with the development of Asia’s export marketing caused Bali’ silver demand get increase.

Asian marketing like in Japan, Vietnam is quite good, the same with Malaysia and Australia. Though there is a monetary crisis still in international world the existence of fashion world in international point of view still constant” said I Nyoman Mudita.
Mudita mentioned the average number of Bali silver production is for about Rp 150 billion per month. from that value about 80 percent of them is for export market and the rest 20 percent is for domestic marketing.

Mudita also added that the demand for Bali silver is basically quite high but due to the substance material limit makes the high demand cannot be fulfilled. Silver craftsmen merely supplied with 5-6 ton silver substance per month.
