Plastic Waste Attack Gawana Bay Too

In the rainy season that accompanied with fast wind, plastic waste, bottle and many others, besides polluting Kuta Beach, those wastes also attack another tourism object such as Gawana Bay in Banyuwedang area of Buleleng Regency or in other word; it is at the north area of West Bali.

At this tourism object as the territory of West Bali National Park known for its nature concern, the local tourism entrepreneurs until Sunday yesterday still conducting communal work in order to clean up the waste that keep arrive to that bay.

“All of our staffs clean up the waste, hope that it will support the maintenance of clean and sustainable tourism area,” said Fajar Asmara, Gm Novus Gawana who manage a villa with varied of nature tourism and adventure facilities.

Through “Going Clean – Going Green” program, dedicated to change dry forest into a clean and green one, wish that it will support preservation effort toward natural tourism object and adventure at the beach area.

At the tourism object look out Menjangan Island with its hot springs advantage that could cure various diseases such as rheumatic, numb, itching, tired and stress triggered the people voluntarily conducting communal work to clean up the beach.

According to Fajar Asmara, the tourist start to arrive lot into Gawana Bay due to its hot springs that could cure skin disease or any other.

Gawana Bay territory can be reached for about two and a half hour from Ngurah Rai airport through Bedugul – Munduk – Seririt, thorugh Tabanan – Antosari – Pupuan – Seririt for about three hours and four hours if get through Soka Beach – Negara – Cekik.

He wishes for the tourists who in their way to Gilimanuk of Jembrana Regency will make up their time to visit Banyuwedang through Cekik which only 25 kilometer away.

with the advance number of tourist visiting, hopes that it could push the local people as well as tourism businessmen to keep maintaining the tourism area and continuously clean it up and greening the dry area.

“We utilize that hot springs channeled it into each of the rooms in the villa so the guest will find it easier to submerge. And when they submerged in the hot springs water, it will refresh them from a faraway travelling,” as he promoted it.

Nowadays, in the middle of Travira Air cooperation discussion in order to service the passenger and landed at the port location or Jetty Novus Gawana merely needs 30 minutes from Denpasar.

“We offer tourism activity called ‘off water’ like jungle trekking, bird watching, horse back riding, tour d’village and visiting temples. Here, there is big temple known as Pulaki temple. The guests also could have dinner at the pier or at the edge of the bay. There is also billiard facility and many others,” said Fajar Asmara.

Meanwhile for water tourism such as snorkeling, scuba diving, diving, kayaking besides a banquet on traditional boat with waiter and chef sailing Gawana Bay for three hours.

“We also have one slogan ‘living with nature’ or be friend with the nature. We optimize environmentally friendly natural product utilization. Even our villa decoration used dry twig and tree branches. Our biggest challenge today is get free from plastic waste attack,” said Fajar Asmara.

To entertaining the guests, Novus Gawana also presenting traditional art such jegog bamboo and legong. The guest could participating in dancing together with the art team so it will give them a different experience than what they used to in their hometown countries.
