Before Nyepi, many nomads leave Bali. Gilimanuk as one of entrance gate into Bali as usual will be closed from every crossing activities to respect Hindu Bali celebrating their Nyepi day. It has been a tradition already for the nomads intentionally leave Bali when Nyepi. Operational manager of ASDP Gilimanuk, Ospar Silaban on Friday (March 12) yesterday, said that to serve the nomad who want to leave Bali, the port had prepare all boats ready to cross. His party did not denied passenger escalation keep happen before Nyepi. As far as on Friday there had been numbers of motorcycles and cars intentionally leave Bali that is different from usual.

Ospar predicted that the escalation would be up to one hundred percent before Nyepi. But, that number will keep raising since their holiday allotment is longer compared with the previous years. There are 27 boats mobilized to anticipate passenger escalation into Java. “It is recorded that 17 KMP and 10 LCT are ready to cross,” he said.

Although passenger leap up will happen, his party convinced with their number of boats, that there will be no line up. The highest possibility for line up to take place if there is port closing due to the bad weather at Bali strait. “We wish for friendly weather, but if the condition did not sided with us then we will close the port,” he added.
