The Majority of Shops and Restaurants in Kuta are Closed

One day after Nyepi or called as Ngembak Geni, people activities in Bali is slowly going back into normal. Although not all of shops, restaurants and any other business areas in Bali open or get back to their normal activities. From beritabali.com observation, at Kuta since early in the morning up to noon, most of the art shops, shopping complex as well as most restaurant still closed. Merely small number of shops and restaurants are open like usual.

At Poppies Line II Street Kuta or well known only with Gang Poppies, most of the art shops still closed. Line of Art Shop who usually full of crowd and selling varied of Bali souvenirs, today still close.

Some restaurants at Gang Poppies also still closed. Only few of them opened and serve for breakfast for the tourists who stayed along Gang Poppies Kuta. The same also happened along Jalan Legian Kuta. Most of the shops and restaurants along this street are still closed.

“Since Pengerupukan (one day before Nyepi) shops and restaurants in Kuta area almost all been closed to respect people who conducted Nyepi. This still continue until today. Everything will get back into normal fully starting from tomorrow morning,” Gusti Ngurah Tresna explained, head of Kuta Beach security officers.
