Hundred of Europe tourists detained in Bali as an effect of the ash cloud from Eyjafjallajokul volcanic mountain in Iceland that disrupting flight service across the world. Due to this passenger congestion condition, airport and immigration parties of Ngurah Rai Bali conducting several preparation to anticipate the explosion of Europe passengers when the flight back into normal.

Until today, Angkasa Pura I co. Ngurah Rai Airport Bali had received report about more than 600 tourists from Europe who get detained in Bali as an effect of volcanic ash cloud in Iceland. This report sent by five foreign airlines who serve for connecting flight from Bali to Europe.

In relation with passengers comes from Europe in Bali, Ngurah Rai airport had coordinated with related institutions. The coordination focused on anticipation effort solves passenger explosion from Europe when the flight return to normal.

“The airlines parties were asked to report to their passenger about the flight cancellation and to advice they stay longer in Bali. Immigration party in another hand would tolerate them and give simplicity to the tourists whose visa had overstay,” explained General Manager Angkasa Pura I co. Ngurah Rai Bali, Heru Legowo (April 20).

Hundred tourists from Europe detained in Bali had already hold their flight back ticket to their respective countries. However, today all flight to Europe is canceled to anticipating the bad effect comes from volcanic ash of Eyjafjallajokul Iceland.

Most of the tourists choose to extend their stay in Bali whether the other half still choose to leave Bali although there is no certainty they would get flight to Europe.
