IDR 2.2 Billions Shabu Failed Smuggled to Bali
Rouhollah Serish Abadi bin Samadi (26) from Iran tried to smuggling 1.047-kilogram shabu that estimated valued for IDR 2.2 Billions but it was failed at Ngurah Rai Airport.
This Iran citizen reckless action was hiding that prohibited goods inside his luggage’s cavity wall but it failed by Ngurah Rai Customs officers in Tuban Badung, on Thursday night (May 13th).
Head of Ngurah Rai Cutoms for Prosecution and Investigation Section, Bagus Hendro Wibowo, on Friday explained, his party succeeded arrested Rouhollah around 08.30 p.m.
“We arrested Rouhollah shortly after he arrived at Ngurah Rai airport with flight from Qatar Airways number QR 0437 Damaskus-Doha-Bali route,” he explained.
The culprit modus was hiding the shabu inside his lugagge’s cavity wall. He confessed has been told by a friend named Wahid who domiciled in Damaskus to bring that forbidden drugs into Bali.
“Rouhollah confessed he rewarded US $ 2.000 or around IDR 20 Million,” said Bagus.
The officers suspecting the culprit anxiety who looks worried and pacing front and back after passed the immigration examination table.
“When his luggage entering X-Ray detection machine, the officers see something factious. There is thick pink layer indicating organic element (amphetamine) inside the luggage’s cavity wall,” said Bagus.
The culprit then herded to the Customs office to investigate by previously checking his empty luggage with X-Ray.
The officer who had suspected the man found drugs contains “methamphetamine” or known also as shabu estimated valued for IDR 2 million per gram or fully counted for IDR 2.2 billion.
Due to that action, Rouholla threatened with chapter 113 verse 1 and 2 Bill No. 35/2009 regarding narcotic.
Ngurah Rai Customs officer then surrendered Rouhollah to Bali Police in order to proceed to the next law process.
According to Ngurah Rai Customs data, since six month ago there is already nine Iran citizen arrested for drugs case.
