Tegenungan Waterfall Tour Unorganized

Although Tourism Agency in Gianyar already existed, it does not mean that all tourism objects will be managed finely and comfortably visited. Tegenungan waterfall needs deep concern. Who would gone to responsible for that?

The condition of Tegenungan waterfall tourism object in Kemenuh Village, Sukawati, Gianyar is very poor. The tourism object that could has great potential to be developed now in unorganized condition. Whereas, tourists visiting, both for foreigner and domestic to this Tegenungan area, in order to see the beauty of Petanu river’s waterfall, is quite high.

Bali Post observed for one hour on Tuesday (May 18) yesterday at Tegenungan waterfall, there were three groups of tourists comes to enjoy the beauty of Petanu river’s waterfall. They very enjoy the beauty from the never-ending falling water.

In the middle of that waterfall scenery, the tourist also watching SAR team from Brimob division of Bali Police conducted rescue exercise around the waterfall. One of the guide met at the location mentioned that he continuously bring tourists to Tegenungan waterfall tourism object. According to this guide, the condition in fact looks unorganized, especially for the road access into this object still in damage.

That guide also mentioned, Gianyar Government especially its Tourism Agency need to work harder exploring potential tourism objects in Gianyar. “Gianyar tourism not centering in Ubud only but out there, some potential tourism objects waiting for development and could give local additional income,” he said.

In the middle of destination competition, the government should have shown their plus points in every tourism objects. “This is important, so the good impression toward that object will spread from mouth to mouth indirectly would increase the object’s popularity,” he said.

From the location observation, seen new building developed that will has function as toilet.
