Agung Tamanbali Gone in Fire

Bale Pawedan of Penataran Agung Tamanbali Temple in Bangli was on fire, Wednesday (May 19th) around 12.30 a.m. and almost extinguished everything. The losses estimated reached hundred of million Rupiah.
From Bali Post observation on scene, the raging fire caused that tiled roof building razed. People effort calling for firefighter was kind of difficult. The firefighter trucks arrived at scene when the fire started to extinguish and the whole building flattened with the ground.

One of the witnesses, I Wayan Oka, told that the fire estimated begin to pervade around 12.30 p.m. when he want to go to Denpasar and rushed in front of the scene, accidentally my eyes catches cloud of smoke from the temple. Precisely, people around the temple still did not know about it.

He then reported the fire to the closest police office. His party with the help from some local people intended to witness it straightly into the temple area. But the door was closed with padlock. The fire was gradually growth bigger and extinguished the building. The people tried to extinguish the fire with crude equipment.

Klian Dadia Sang Made Bakas confessed that he was shocked knowing the fire happened in temple area. His party together with the people tried extinguished the fire with traditional way. Moreover with the debit water at the temple is small meanwhile the distance from the temple to the closest river is far away. Strong suspicion arouse that the fire comes from short-circuit error due to the electrical kilometer that is close with the point where the fire began.

Meanwhile, head of Bangli Police, AKP I Made Raka mentioned that after received fire report, his party straightly went to the location to investigate. “We still investigate the source of the fire now,” he explained.
