4 Afghanistan Immigrants Keep Silent
Four Afghanistan immigrants that has been taken custody for more than a week by Ngurah Rai Immigration party still keep silent and only willingly to speak if they accompanied by official from international commission for refugee division.
“They still quiet. When we investigated them, they did not want to give any statement. They ask for international commission for refugee division (UNHCR) accompanied them,” said head of Surveillance and Repression of Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Wayan Sudana on Saturday.
He mentioned that since they were arrested on May 19 2010 on Singaraja Sea of Buleleng Regency, those four immigrants cohesively did not want to give any statement accordance to their arrival to Bali.
“We respect that attitude, at least there has been rapprochement effort conducted. We will keep coordinating and waiting for UNHCR arrival. Hopefully they will arrive soon in Bali,” he said.
Nevertheless, Sudana have not yet giving any assurance when exactly UNHCR in Jakarta arrive in Bali. “They state that the same problem happened in varied areas in Indonesia whom requires UNHCR handling,” he said.
Those four Afghanistan citizens are Rohullah (20), Saadt Zadeh Hassan (37), Avdul Azim (16) and Asdullah Enhazin (35).
Together with them also there were Iranian as well as Pakistan immigrants, Fadia Hussain (23) and Ali Gulam (40) arrested with them.
Different with Afghanistan immigrant who rejected give any kind of statement, those two Iranian and Pakistan immigrants are more cooperative. But, both of them confessed they did not know those Afghanistan immigrants. “Both of them confessed they met recently when the ship they travelled landed on Buleleng,” said Sudana.
Until today, those six immigrants, two of them seeking for political asylum and still arrested at rumah tahanan detensi imigrasi (Rudenim) – immigrant detention home – in Jimbaran Badung whilst waiting for the further investigation.
According to Sudana, their condition is still in good condition and during their period of detention, they are treated well.
In other side, he says, so far the officials have not yet receive any news around those nine immigrants who suspected ran away from their homeland and hiding in Bali.
“We keep observed them in order to anticipate the probability of other immigrants in Bali. Thus, we had asked for the people to give any information regarding foreigner in their area,” he said.
Before, those six foreigners arrested by Kubutambahan Police of Buleleng Regency who were around North Sea area of Bali Province.
Recent investigation reveals that they are immigrant who escaped from their country since there is conflict takes place at their homeland and due to the economic problem.
