Traffic conditions in Denpasar day by day often triggers jam make it need reorganization. As a big city and tourist destination area, traffic flow in Denpasar should has always in good condition.

One section of the road will goes through reorganization is Tohpati Crossroad. It is conveyed in redesigning presentation concerning Tohpati crossroad by a foreign NGO from England, Key Med, on Tuesday (June 15) at Transportation Agency Office.

That presentation also attended by head of transportation agency Gde Astika, S.H., member oc Denpasar Council Commission Wayan Suadi Putra, S.T., delegation from Bali Transportation Agency, Man Power Agency Bali as well as Bappeda Denpasar.

According to the executive consultant, The Mike Kenna Consultacy (MCM), Widana Negara who will take this Tohpati crossroad project that will become four ways road connecting Jalan By Pass Ngurah Rai/Jalan Gatot Subroto/Jalan Wr. Supratman/and road to Gianyar. This road will have strategic location since will bring excellent city’s transportation service and could increase city’s image.

It is said that his party will conduct varied study and survey in detail toward Tohpati crossroad condition. “Latter, Tohpati crossroad will be arranged as far as bring no big problem for traffic at that road,” he said.

In order to give clearest image toward the design, explained that there will be road organization and development, zebra cross, park arrangement and traffic light installment used electrical and battery as its power.

This combination used between electrical and battery viewed by Widana Negara to anticipating black out. “Thus, make the traffic will keep in function even if the electricity went down due to its back up power which could stand for three days,” said Widana Negara.

Meanwhile, member of commission B Denpasar Council Suadi Putra asked that before the construction conducted that they should socialize it first to the people so it would not trigger new problem.

Principally, his party confessed their agreement toward Tohpati crossroad arrangement, but if the technical study such as road media, island road, zebra cross and traffic light should be more well prepared so it would not cause crowded state.
