Due to the environment problem influence toward the existed ecosystem then realizing “Bali Clean and Green” is a fixed price. Thus, the Mayor of Denpasar, I.B. Rai Dharmawijaya Mantra said when conducted greening at Benoa Harbor’s terminal arrival, on Friday (June 25).

That event contributing in planting 15.000 sea firs around Benoa harbor involved Pelindo (Pelabuhan Indonesia) officers – Indonesian Harbors – and Benoa Water Police as well as related institutions.

Rai Mantra added that Denpasar Government put their highest concern to deal with the environment problem. Varied steps had been done, starting from greening as well as handling air pollution. For air pollution itself, Denpasar Government had conducted emission test toward private and public transportation in the city.
Waste problem has become main issue that needs serious management. That is why Rai Mantra invite people in Denpasar put together their concern to keep clean the surrounding environment.

“Maintaining the environment and its cleanliness is not merely to seek for award but tend to a clear spirit of not inheriting dirty environment to our young generation,” explained Rai Mantra.

Moreover he continued, creating clean environment is not as easy as turning the palm of the hand upside down. Creating clean environment needs process and a will to change life habit into a clean behavior.

“I totally agree that every Friday every government institutions participate in greening action in order to create clean and healthy environment,” Rai Mantra said. Furthermore, Bali is a tourist destination area urge for green and clean environment to be preserved as one of the tourism maintenance aspect.

Meanwhile, head of Benoa Administrator, Captain Baptis Sugiarto says the 5000 sea’s firs plantation program is one effort conducted by his party to take part in protecting the environment.

“It is fact that the trees we planted today could not enjoyed in an instant, but least we could give green environment heritage for our children and grandchildren,” Sugiarto said.
