Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) – Tourism Advance School – in Nusa Dua Bali programmed becoming the faster tourism institute in 2012 as well as open international class for foreign students interested to learn and deepening their tourism knowledge.

“We already have strong enough capital. What had built and prepared by our former leaders is incredible. We just need to prepare its legal basis in order to shift status into an institute,” Head of STP Nusa Dua, Dr. I Nyoman Madiun, M.Sc said on Wednesday.

He delivered this thing after inaugurated into head of STP Nusa Dua on Wednesday, June 23rd 2010 replacing I Made Sudhana, SE, MM, CHT. In that occasion, there is also head of STP Nusa Dua Public Administration department handed over position to Drs. Ida Bagus Putu Puja, ST. M.Kes.

Made Sudjana who has already eight years hold the chairman position in STP Nusa Dua hoped that in the future this advanced school would become better. “I wish for STO will become and institute in the future and could open Magister program for tourism,” he said.

Head of Resource Department for Ministry of Cultural and Tourism Affair, I Gusti Putu Laksaguna, CHA, M.Sc. in this occasion also stating that STP Nusa Dua have preparation and ability to become an institute.

“With their shifting status into an institute, of course there are more additional faculties can be open. Now the future process is fulfilling the requirements first,” he said.

Still, he also urge for this school remain open diploma program even though institute status has been gain since tourism sector not only needs manager but this industry exactly will need more operational personnel.

Nyoman Madiun who graduated from Magister program University of Surrey England in 1993 and doctorate program of Udayana University in 2008, hope that in 2012 his university could open several faculties as well as accepting foreign students.

Thhis man who was born in Denpasar on February 1953 stating his well-prepare eagerness toward STP condition that physically had fulfilled all requirements to become institute. Although, lot of work is await concerning the status shifting of this school, such as manager or instructor resource.

STP Nusa Dua for all along has open undergraduate program with two program study such as Hospitality Business and Tourism Destination with hundreds of student come from all around Indonesia.

“Even though this school will become an institute, of course we would not forget our diploma program. We will develop our professional program side by side with our academic track,” said Nyoman Madiun who began his carrier at university from Pusat Pendidikan Perhotelan and Pariwisata Bali as well as BPLP Bali.
