Comprehensive workshop had been organized by this association with almost 100 participants of its partner on July 14th at Sanur Paradise Hotel. It was part of BHA’s security and empowerment programmed, geared to boost the resilience of the islands hotel industry to any threat.
This workshop has wide subject range. The participant would learn about medical emergencies, rabies and other disease as well as tsunami preparedness, risk a public private sector initiative that connects hotels and businesses in the South of Bali via UHF radio to the police and vice versa.
Participants were also introduced to BHA’s Hotel Security and Safety Self Assessment, a tool created to assist hotel managers to conduct general security and safety assessments in order to improve their own emergency planning and as well as security and safety procedures.
“I am happy about the variety of speakers and participants attending this workshop,” said Alexander Kesper, BHA Security and Safety Executive. “It shows that Bali’s security and safety community is well connected with the islands hotel industry and that we support each other in order to achieve our common goal: A safer and friendlier Bali for all of us.’
The Workshop was supported through contributions by SOS Clinic Bali, Bali Animal Welfare Association (BAWA), The German Indonesian Tsunami Early Warning System (GITEWS), United Nations Department Security and Safety (UNDSS), IPRC,- the Integrated Police Radio Community and Sanur Paradise Plaza Hotel.
