Bali Provincial Government decides to conduct re-arrangement toward the existence of travel agency in Bali. The arrangement is a follow-up for the rampant number of travel agents operated illegally in Bali.
Aside from arrangement’s policy, there is also another follow-up from local regulation implementation or a regulation has connection with travel agency.

Head of Bali Tourism Agency, Ida Bagus Subhiksu in his statement in Renon, on Monday (August 23) stated that the arrangement also aimed to gain information of the need of Bali toward travel agent. It considering number of travel agents in Bali have exceeded the requirement.

Moreover, most of the travel agennts unsurprisingly operated in Badung Regency and Capital of Denpasar City only.

“There is even no travel agent in two regencies in Bali, Klungkung and Karangasem. The arrangement also meant to see Bali needs against travel agent. And if it is true that there are 400 travel agents, we will manage it,” said Ida Bagus Subhiksu.

Head of Bali Tourism Agency, Ida Bagus Subhiksu says the re-arrangement toward the travel agents existence will be conducted starting on September 1st to October 15th through an obligation for those travel agent to re-register their business and showed their legal authorization. If they could not do that then that, the government will closed their business.

The result comes from data re-collection conducted by Bali Tourism Agency showed that from 658 travel agents registered at the Bali Tourism Agency, only 226 of them that are operationally still active.

Furthermore, from those 658 travel agents registered in Bali, it is recorded that only 216 of them that still have operational authorization.
