Badung Regional Government in Bali will guide the people who recently illegally mine the sand along Ayung River in Abiansemal district.
“No need to buy or even sell the mining result with such a huge scale, it is due to the small result produced from mining activity. Poor them if we straightly take firm action,” said head of Mining and Energy Agency of Cipta Karya Badung, IPutu Wiarka to the press in Badung, on Wednesday.
Those miners, he said, they only try to feed themselves, moreover their mining method is so conventional and traditional thus, so far we did not afraid of them could damage the environment.
That is why; he said that Badung Regional Government needs no gives firm action toward them considering those miners are the local people who usually work traditionally. Their mining tools also quite simple, that is spade and basket.
Those sand miners usually looking for the sand along Ayung River such as at Bongkasa and Mambal village of Abiansemal district.
He says although there are numerous illegal mining still Wiarka confessed that he several times received some authorization applications.
“There are already people who manage the authorizations even among them have the authorization already,” he said.
It only he rejected to mentioned number of authorizations had issuing so far by his institutions.
Toward the illegal sand miners, Dinas Cipta Karya chooses to give them guidance.
His party also confessed that routinely they went to the mining location in order to guide those miners to prioritize their safety whilst mined in the water.
“We keep guide them so they would not abandon their safety while mining,” Wiarka added.
