Archeology Bureau Not Evacuating yet the Pre-Historic Human’s Bones
Archeology Bureau Denpasar still not evacuating the pre-historic human bones and a coffin made from stone or the sarcophagus at Subak Saba, Keramas Village, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency, Bali.
“Not yet, we have not yet evacuating those pre-historic human bones since it still in research phase,” said Dra. Ayu Kusumawati, the researcher at Archeology Bureau Denpasar when met with ANTARA at the location where that sarcophagus found.
Beside conducted initial research, Kusumawati says his party still waiting for the opening of sarcophagus, which is still in solid condition. “After we open and observe it, then we could move further to the evacuation process,” she said.
He added, regarding when will it be, his party still has not certain yet when that evacuation would be. “We didn’t observe it blatantly, including opening the sarcophagus. Everything needs carefulness,” she said.
On Saturday (August 28th) Archeology Bureau of Denpasar found the pre-historic made from stone or called as sarcophagus at Subak Saba, Keramas Village, Blahbatuh, Gianyar Regency.
“From the two stone coffins we found, we succeded open only one of them, and precisely it kept pre-historic human bones,” she said.
She mentioned that the two stone coffins at the tip of it completed with head accessory similar to turtle, for the first time found by the soil digger at the brick making location.
From that discovery, Denpasar Archeological Bureau then started to investigate it deeply. It revealed that those two coffins were part of pre-historic relic known as sarcophagus.
Ayu Kusumawati said that those two discovery, one of them has been succeeded to be opened and precisely founded that it was quite complete pre-historic human bones.
“The other one is still fully sealed so we did not know yet the content within it,” she said.
