Denpasar Hopes Taking Over Badung Asset 2011
Denpasar Government hope could take over some building asset belongs to Badung Regional Government at their old office area in Nitipraja, Lumintang starting in 2011.
“We are serious in utilizing some building and land formerly used as Badung Regional office that is now spread around Denpasar,” said Denpasar city’s Mayor, I.B Rai Mantra to the press after held a meeting with Badung Regent, AA Gde Agung in Mangupura, Mengwi, on Monday.
The seriousness showed by Denpasar City government in approaching and lobbying to the Badung government in relation with the utilization of Badung asset in Denpasar.
“About the mechanism, we will fully obeying Badung Government as the owner party,” he said.
In relation with the mechanism conducted, either to buy or rent the former office building belongs to Badung government; Rai Mantra mentioned that it was fully rest on the hand of Badung government itself.
“Certainly, we hope we could have that place in order to give maximum service for the people. Whether we will buy it or rent it, we give the mechanism fully to the Badung government,” he asserted.
Regarding the fund preparation to take over the asset, Rai Mantra confessed that so far his party did not prepare it yet.
Responded to it, Badung party has given the conditions lead to the rental system toward some of their building assets that are now not used.
According to Gde Agung Regent, if it was pointed to the law regulation starting from government regulation, Internal Affair regulation and Badung regulation No. 1/2009 regarding Local Asset Management up to Badung Regent Regulation No. 31/2010 concerning Asset Utilization Mechanism, it is more appropriate to going through rental mechanism.
“First phase tend to pointed to the rental prospect. According to the Regent regulation, renting is the more appropriate way,” Gde Agung said. It only in regard to the amount of rental price, he continued, his party still studying and analyzing it more accurate.
