Increasing Malaysian Tourists

Malaysian visiting Bali was recorded 53,027 people throughout January-April 2012 or increased 0.99 percent compare to the same period last year, or was at 52,507 tourists.

“Most of them coming through Ngurah Rai Airport with direct flight. Only 73 of them coming through sea port with cruise,” said head of Bali Central Statistic Bureau, I Gede Suarsa in Denpasar.

In 2011, Malaysian visiting Bali was 151,716 people or increased 11.71 percent compare to 2010 that was 135,811 people.

Malaysia sits at the fourth place after Australia, China and Japan from top ten countries in the world supplying tourists into Bali.

Gede Suarsa explained that from those 10 countries, seven of them having a fairly significant improvement while the remaining three tended to decrease.

The seven countries mentioned, aside from Malaysia, among them are Australia with 8.23 percent or from 219,903 into 238,001 tourists followed by China from 71,186 into 124,293 people in other word this country is at 74.60 percent.
