Only some of fishermen groups in this area were able to catch ornamental fishes without damaging environment. The quality of alive ornamental fishes that caught by explosives were relatively low. Besides destroying reefs in the ocean, explosives also damaging fish’ durability so the fishes worried to die before they arrived in customer’ country.

In Bali Island, batik has developed in 1970. In Bali Island batik development influencing traditional weavers to keep their creativity. It started by drawing a design through spraying technique on a woven cloth. Reviewing from its technique, it is different with others but its final result is difficult to difference with batik tulis.

“We can result 15 meter of woven cloth that had designed in a day,” said him in his workshop on Saturday (1/10). The difference lies in its making process. Java batik usually made motive on its cloth like batik tulis that needs 2-3 months while stamp batik needs shorter time to make as it is only 2-3 days. Other batik is batik lukis while its making process looks like a painter who drawing on a canvas and it needs longer time. Meanwhile air brush batik is not difficult work. “Batik process made its motive on a cloth while woven cloth using coloring cloth then it is weaving in accord with its motive,” said him. The result is not different with batik tulis.

Dip batik craftsman in Banjar Aktha, Ketewel, Sukawati, Choirul Sholeh confessed recent batik development is very fast so it makes diverse pattern and motive.
