Catching pig race held in Niti Praja Field, Lumintang, Denpasar on Sunday morning as it was attracting local people attention. This event coupled jogging competition to celebrate 20th anniversary of Denpasar city. It witnessed by Denpasar Mayor Ida Bagus Rai Dharma Wijaya Mantra. “The catching pig competition involved some people,” said the Head of Public Relation Department Denpasar, Dewa Gede Rai.

Any kinds of fun competitions held in Lumintang field but the catching pig race was mostly attracting people. This competition was allowing its participants to race their speed and agility. Committee used half competition system to find the champion.

Each participant fought one by one to catch a pig in a 70 square meters area. Since Saturday night (4/2) Denpasar city got rain that made Lumintang field wet. The wet field made the competition getting attractive due to the participant and the pig were full of mud. The competition was also including three committees as the bugger so the pig was getting more difficult to catch.

This Christmas event was giving peaceful vibration as the form of religion harmony.

The Head of Badung Representatives Giri Prasta delivered his appreciation for this Christmast event. He hoped this celebration giving new nuance for Christians in Badung. Mr Giri also suggests celebrating Christmas 2012 in House of Representatives Badung building. The chairman of this Christmas committee Jansen Panjaitan reported this massive Christmas celebration aiming to tight relationship between Christians in Badung. Christians in Badung also shows their caring toward poor people in Badung while Jansen Panjaitan represented the congregations to hand over some aids to the Regent Badung A.A. Gde Agung to distribute the aid.

Scholarship program for those students, said dr Mita, is not the first time to apply. “We mentioned it PSPD scholarship. Each year we allocate 15 scholarship but during this time it is not fully enough due to the students were passing tight selection under fixed requirements,” said him. Meanwhile Bali Government is promising to give full scholarship as much as Rp175 million for each student who receives the scholarship.

West Europe Director of Foreign Affairs Ministry Indonesia, Dewa Made Juniarta said this visit aimed to introduce Buleleng potential to the countries in Europe. The Head of Environmental Office Buleleng Ir. Wayan Pasek Swastika, M.Si who is representing Regent Buleleng yesterday said Raksaniyata trophy is an award of central government to the Region Government which is succeeded holding environmental management through Going to Green Indonesia Program. “This year its appraisal is very strict in which the appraisal consists of some aspects such as physical aspect, management, people, activity and difficulty level aspect,” said him.

According to Swastika, the appraisal procession held by echelon officials I of department traffic and it discussed with Environmental Coach Council under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Emil Salim (the former of State Environmental Minister). “From all of regencies that followed this event, there are only nine regencies which had received this award. There are five regencies of Raksaniyata Trophy receivers and four regencies of Raksaniyata Charter receivers,” said him.

Buleleng Government is one of five regencies which received Raksaniyata Trophy. This award handover held by Vice President Indonesia on the celebration of Flower and Animal Loving Day National 2011 on Wednesday (16/11) in Second Building of Vice President Palace, Jakarta. The Chairman of GOW Mrs Sumawati Sukerana added the preparation of 1,000 Joged Dance started by training on November 14, 2011 in Rendang District as it cooperated with Cultural and Tourism Office Karangasem. Each district planned to present 50 couples of joged dancers and their assistants. Next training daily holds on Selat District, Bebandem, Manggis and Karangasem while it followed by same show in Sidemen on November 21, 2011; it will holds in Kubu on December 2, 2011 and the last one in Abang on December 7. Other social activities are Paapsmir in Bunutan, gifts for 10 poor elderly people, punia handover to a sulinggih, an aid for one disable poor person, medical safari with medical service and free KB service for 300 people in Muntigunung and Bebandem, handover of 100 schools equipment packages for poor kids, healthy life seminar and right eating pattern which followed by 50 participants, beauty class for 50 persons, blood donor, women movement of tree planting, jogging, aid to the labors in East Amlapura Market and flag ceremony. It highlighted by 1,000 joged dance. Mrs Sujani Geredeg has not yet planned to record it in MURI record but if MURI committee interested to record it, it might be a pleasure.
