According to the head of Medical Department Bali dr. Ketut Suarjaya, normal birthing service tariff has increased into Rp500,000 since December 2011 to encourage the contribution of BPS. It is also aiming to increase the quality of birthing service for mothers in Jampersal program. The tariff addition then increasing the involvement of BPS Bali for People Prosperity Insurance program, said Suarjaya. Now it had reached 365 BPS who had followed Jampersal program.

The chairman of JKPM (People Health Care Insurance) I Gusti Mayeni, SKM., MPH. added Jampersal program is not only paying the birthing service of local mothers but also pregnancy checking service or ANC and PNC (after birthing checking). “ANC checking is paid for four times. The first checking is on the first three semester of pregnancy then it also will cover the second three semester checking service. At last it also will be paid two times of pregnancy checking on third three semester period. In the other side PNC insurance also had been paid for four times checking services,” said him.

Besides normal birthing tariff, ANC and PNC checking tariff also increased from Rp10,000 into Rp20,000. If the pregnant mother needs Caesar surgery or other services besides Jampersal tariff, added Mayeni, it will be paid in accord with IRNA DRG hospital tariff. Jampersal program is not asking complicated requirements. Pregnant mothers should bring their Indonesia ID card and they will directly get this service. It is valid for both married and unmarried women. Balinese people interest in using this program is also very good. Based on data, there are 11,694 ANC visits and PNC visits reaches 12,322 visits recently. In the other side the data of maternity visit in puskesmas (People Health Center) reaches 8,415 visits and birthing visit reaches 5,374.

The chairman of Health Department Bali Nyoman Sutedja on Monday (26/3) said KTR principal is freeing certain closed buildings from cigarette smoke and limiting the advertisement of cigarette. Bali government also planned to valid KTR on night clubs and hotels in Bali.

“Tourism sector is encouraging to push this rule on to some hotels. We will try to apply this rule on their licensing. GIPI will divide some hotels into blue category in which it is forbidden to smoke. Later security officer will be charged to warn smoking guests. There will also a sticker in the door to announce if this area is no smoking area under region rule,” said Nyoman Sutedja. Sutedja mentioned in the first step the implementation of KTR Rule will be valid on some state institutions while we are waiting government to adopt KTR rule. People who smoke in public area later will be fined Rp50,000.

ISO certificate acceptance is coming with the 20th anniversary of Denpasar in Lumintang Field yesterday (27/2). The award of ISO 9001-2008 is coming from the consultant of Q-Sert to Denpasar Mayor I.B. Rai Dharmawijaya Manta.

After he received this award, the director of PDAM Denpasar Putu Gede Mahaputra said the award of ISO 9001-2008 related by their service to the public so the award is encouraging PDAM Denpasar to increase their service to the Denpasar citizens in accord with government rules.

PDAM Denpasar then asked to apply ISO 9001:2008 for their service system. Gede Mahaputra added PDAM Denpasar committed to give best service to the Denpasar people. The assessment of ISO had happened on Friday 16 September 2011 by ISO certification institution and it had proved the fine service of PDAM Denpasar. Editor team of ISO institution has recommended PDAM Denpasar in this assessment process to get ISO in the category of service.

Catching pig race held in Niti Praja Field, Lumintang, Denpasar on Sunday morning as it was attracting local people attention. This event coupled jogging competition to celebrate 20th anniversary of Denpasar city. It witnessed by Denpasar Mayor Ida Bagus Rai Dharma Wijaya Mantra. “The catching pig competition involved some people,” said the Head of Public Relation Department Denpasar, Dewa Gede Rai.

Any kinds of fun competitions held in Lumintang field but the catching pig race was mostly attracting people. This competition was allowing its participants to race their speed and agility. Committee used half competition system to find the champion.

Each participant fought one by one to catch a pig in a 70 square meters area. Since Saturday night (4/2) Denpasar city got rain that made Lumintang field wet. The wet field made the competition getting attractive due to the participant and the pig were full of mud. The competition was also including three committees as the bugger so the pig was getting more difficult to catch.

Scholarship program for those students, said dr Mita, is not the first time to apply. “We mentioned it PSPD scholarship. Each year we allocate 15 scholarship but during this time it is not fully enough due to the students were passing tight selection under fixed requirements,” said him. Meanwhile Bali Government is promising to give full scholarship as much as Rp175 million for each student who receives the scholarship.
