According to Governor Pastika, the grand fund of 23.5 billion Rupiah will keep fighting over for the next year Art Center. Fifteenth terrorists succeeded penetrated the departure terminal of Ngurah Rai airport Denpasar Bali. Those terrorist taking hostage some people including foreign citizen.

Their demand was to ask for Indonesian government to release all prisoner involving in terror act within forty-eight hours. The terrorists also demand for logistic support and pilot to flee overseas.

Commander of Indonesia National Troops then commanded Indonesia Special Force Commandos to release the hostage and retake the Ngurah Rai Airport. This liberation act was conduct together with SAS since some of their citizen also become hostage.

Sporadic invasion between Kopassus and Australia SAS caused some terrorists died and injured. The Kopassus and SAS succeeded in release the hostage and taking back the airport of Ngurah Rai Bali.
It was part of the scenario from the simulation Kopassus and Australian SAS conducted and coded Down Komodo 10. This simulation training involved 50 Kopassus and 20 SAS personnel from Australia.

“This joined training aimed to raise the relationship between the two armed forces. 50 Indonesian Special Force Commandos and 20 Australian Special Air Service or SAS will be participated in together training of terrorism prevention in Bali. The training coded ‘Dawn Komodo 10’ will be held on Tuesday morning at Ngurah Rai international airport.

One day before the joined training, six helicopters belong to Indonesia National Ground force has prepared at Puputan Margarana Renon Field in Renon Denpasar. Those six helicopters, Bell, Bolco and MI 17 type will be used in that joined training of Indonesian Special Force Commandos and Australian SAS.

Those six helicopters will be used to transported six Kopassus – Indonesian Special Force Commandos – and Australian SAS in today training. Several combat motors with trail type to disable terrorist also transported in that helicopter.

Yesterday, before the joined training, some preparation has been conducted at the operation preparation location at one of the eastern building of Bali Governor Office in Renon Denpasar. Number of Kopassus and Australian SAS personnel looks conducted some final preparation such as operation simulation disabling the terrorists up to hostage release.

This anti terror training coded “Dawn Komodo 10” is part of the routine training between Kopassus and Australian SAS held every year.

The training aimed to realize the operation harmonization for terror anticipation from the troops of both countries.

“Bali was chosen since the island had become terrorism target. With this training there will be trust from the internationworld that in Indonesia there are special force formed to face over terrorism,” explained head of Kopassus Public Relationship, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Teguh Muji Angkasar, In Renon, on Monday (September 27) .

Head of Bali Cultural Agency Ida Bagus Sedhawa in his statement in Renon, on Monday (June 14) uttered the registering process of Wali dance to UNESCO in is classification process or grouping the dances. This classification and identification itself is involving those from Institute Seni Indonesia (ISI) Denpasar and expert staff from Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affair.

“The researchers from Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affair area straightly went to the scene in order to witness it directly the developing process of those Wali dances in regencies and city. Some of them had been identified such as Pependetan dance, Topeng dance and Bebarisan dance,” said Ida Bagus Sedhawa.

Ida Bagus Sedhawa also conveyed that after identification and classification process finished, it is possible for the Wali dances at this year will straightly registered to Unesco.

With this registry for Balinese dances into UNESCO hoped there will be no country ever claimed those dances anymore.

Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika in his statement in Kreneng, Wednesday (May 26) confessed that fund assistance for education operational not only to help students from poor family but also in order to spur Junior High spirit to continued their education into Vocational High.

Moreover, with the recent condition showed that 60 percent of Junior High tend to continued it to High School whether in the future the government targeted that 60 percent High School students would continued their educational year in Vocational High.

“In the future we hope that there will be 60 percent SMK and 40 percent High School so the student could competing in finding job,” said Bali Governor.

Bali Governor, Made Mangku Pastika added that through this education operational fund assistance, he hope in the future there will be no student who are not graduate from High School level in Bali.
Besides SMK, the provincial government in Bali also gives education operational assistance to student in SMU – High School – level who comes from poor family.

High School would receive Rp 800.000 per person per month meanwhile SMK will receive Rp 1.000.000 per person per month.

Due to number of people insistence inserting Bali architecture in Ngurah Rai Airport expansion design draft in which the demand is fulfilled, make there is 20 percent budget ascension takes place, from its original fund that is only IDR 1.7 Billion.

Thus, as been confessed by the project director for Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport Development, Sri Unon Setyasih. She said that the final draw had been finished by her design team and will be delivered to Badung Regent, A.A. Gede Agung in this week. “The drawing had finished and we only waiting for the meeting with the regent,” she said on Tuesday (April 27).

But in this new design, not all of the airport terminal will be decorated with Balinese architecture since the design team only give Bali style only to the outer side of the terminal. “Not all terminal will used Bali architecture. The design will maximize on the outer terminal only,” she continued.

Unon also estimated that the new design would raise 20 percent from the original budget. She explained, in the preliminary design of airport terminal and apron development would cost IDR 1.7 Billion. “But due to the design modification the budget will get raise,” she explained.

For terminal physic’s development alone will be done on the next September whilst waiting for the recommendation concerning the design made by the eight team. “We’ll begin the development in phases,” she explained.

As been known before, the original design presented by Ngurah Rai expansion team was rejected by member of Badung councils. It was due to the design mentioned to looks like Opera House in Sidney.

Meanwhile, still related with airport matter, Ministry of Cultural and Tourism Affair is fully supported the development of new airport in Bali in order to solve airport excessive capacity at Ngurah Rai International Airport. “Before departed to attend seminar in Bangkok, Mr. Minister Jero Wacik expressed his support regarding that issue,” said the Director for Foreign Tourism Promotion of Cultural and Tourism Ministry, Gede Pitana at Udayana Postgraduate campus yesterday Tuesday.

Pitana who become the key speaker in international seminar of tourism development confessed the minister message that with the development of new airport in North Bali could be reconsider by all parties.

He said that there is two underlying points for the needs of new airport in North Bali, precisely in Singaraja of Buleleng regency. “First is to answer ‘over’ capacity of our Ngurah Rai airport and the second is about supporting capability and traffic density level in South Bali area,” said Pitana as reported by Antara.

South Bali area is always in traffic jam state so new airport would solve that density problem. For the new airport development, North Bali is the best choice for that. “So we need one new airport,” he said. When asked about the ability of one small area like Bali having two airports Pitana then takes two examples as for London and Honkong. “Although those two cities are small cities but they have two airports and it is proved that they could do that,” said Pitana explained.
